In a word…Wow!
I've been using Elixirs for sometime on my Gibson 45, and thought peradventure they were the all-time I would observe. Looking for a string with a picayune more warmth I took a chance on these. And then glad I did. They are exactly what I wanted. A warmer sounding string that would however have plenty presence where needed and with minimal fret hand noise.
The fret hand noise is just slightly more pronounced with these than is perceived with the Elixirs; yet the tone is worlds above and at near half the cost.
I went with the 10-52 gauge set and again, wow! An incredibly balanced gear up with all the lows, mids, and highs correct where they should be and in only the right corporeality. Having the unwound 3rd makes for such an comeback in playability likewise.
As far as longevity, I can't say yet every bit I've simply used them for a few days at present, though I don't think the Elixirs terminal as long every bit many state either, and with a couple sessions in now I think they will provide at least boilerplate lifespan expected from a quality string gear up.
My next Sweetwater purchase is a box of these strings before they jump in price…I won't be buying the Elixirs over again so long equally these are available. I have a hunch these are going to gain a high level of popularity.

Thanks to Ernie Ball, Matt Kreager and the rest of the neat staff at SweetWater.

They really bring out the soul of mu guitars. I've tried a lot of different brands and finally landed on these for the rich full acoustic rock and dejection I play.
I recently put these on my 1975 Ovation Custom Balladeer and I am very pleased. I tune all both this and my 12 string Ovation down a whole step and the feel is very nice, smooth and non too loose. Nice clear sound and easy to play.
Right out of the package y'all can feel how silky the guitar strings feel in your paw. When yous get these on your guitar and tuned, you can really hear the clarity and output of the band and tone. It says "mellow" tone but it'south a very vibrant tone that actually has a mix of mellow also. Cord angle is a breeze, and the strings feel super silky on the finger tips. Over all these are amazing strings. Definitely on my top 5 list.
I received these strings yesterday and they are amazing. Unfortunately, I tried to tune the guitar to open Chiliad and popped the loftier eastward string. Word to the wise, exist deadening when tuning. Strings easy to bend and rule above everything else in my stance.
